The staff here is super helpful and friendly! 🌟 the rooms on the top floor have been recently redone, giving them a fresh look. It's great to have control over the room temperature, a TV, and ironing equipment available.

Excellent location on the beach. Very clean and spacious room. Parking and swimming pool are available and free of charge.
The reception is not active during the night. The staff should monitor the guests (in our stay, the guests at the first floor shouted all the night! - they also tried to climb on the back-door at 4 A.M.). The breakfast is minimal and very poor if compared to the rate.

We enjoyed this budget hotel. the food was great. - the staff were attentive and amiable. - the room was tastefully decorated and new-fashioned with climate control, TV, and ironing facilities. - the property had the best possible and comfy location so close to the ocean. Rewritten: We had a great time at this affordable hotel. - the meals were delicious. - the staff members were kind and paid attention to our needs. - Our room was beautifully decorated and modern, equipped with climate control, a TV, and ironing amenities. - the hotel's location was perfect and very comfortable, just a stone's throw away from the ocean.

Sounds of ocean waves during the night, we had a room with another door opening right to the beach. Very spacious rooms: living and bedroom, small kitchen with all useful facilities for cooking. The personnel was very friendly and helpful with directions etc
Not modern design and decor, old bathroom porcelain

Our room was decent sized, tidy with climate control, TV and ironing facilities, had an extra special experience. Location: the hotel was close to the beach and local bars and a nearby restaurant for great food.

The room was tastefully decorated and new-fashioned with climate control, TV, and ironing facilities available. the location in San Diego was the best possible and within a short walk to the best seafood and Mexican restaurants, the beach, and stores. the food was great.

The hotel is in a great location... Next to a really good mexican restaurant and on the main street of pb. The room is clean and nice! Good value for the money...
You could hear everything that is going on outside, the cards to open the room almost never worked.

It was literally on the ocean, you can't get that nowadays for this price!!! The only thing I didn't appreciate is waking up to "homeless" guys in the room behind ours, made me rethink the property. It was early and they were very noisy!
Other guests were disgusting.

I recently stayed at a hotel in San Diego for a short beach getaway. Diamond Head Inn was a great choice for its proximity to the beach, boardwalk, and various dining options. The breakfast, although held in a small office, provided a nice selection of pastries, muffins, and beverages. The staff, especially the GM Jim and manager Klara, were incredibly accommodating and responsive to our needs and concerns. They even made arrangements for us to stay at their sister hotel, SB Surf Beachside Inn, which was closer to the ocean and offered a better room. the location and attentive staff made our stay enjoyable.
Despite the positive aspects of our stay, I do recommend this hotel.

The value for money was excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, and the staff at the hotel, especially Laura at the front desk, were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

Enjoyed our neat room on the upper level and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Climate control, TV and ironing facilities were a bonus...
